    iConnect is seeking candidates to join our Helpdesk team in Cork. This is a permanent position for the right candidate (subject to probation period). Experience with Mac OS X, iOS, and basic network troubleshooting, is a distinct advantage

    Job Summary

    A Service Desk technician provides assessment and resolution of incidents across a computing environment. The analyst must be able to work at a fast-pace while maintaining high-quality troubleshooting and technical assistance, to bring about a satisfactory resolution to our customers. The Service Desk technician’s role includes receiving, assessing, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and issues..


    • Serve as first point of contact for hardware, software and networking incidents and requests
    • Maintain adequate records of all case requests including time spent on each case
    • Assist in general day to day operational tasks and duties as required
    • Collaborate with team members and other support teams to resolve incidents and technical issues
    • Be willing to go beyond the call of duty to provide the highest level of customer care
    • Be eager to learn and develop new technical skills in an exciting field

    Required Skills

    • Third Level IT qualification
    • Experience with Mac OS X, iOS
    • Basic troubleshooting of Wired and Wireless Networking and VPNs
    • 1+ years Helpdesk or Service Desk experience performing IT troubleshooting in professional environment
    • Experience with Helpdesk systems service management ticketing application
    • Great problem-solving skills
    • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
    • Be fluent in written and spoken English
    • Be a flexible, self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
    • Have a courteous and patient manner towards colleagues and customers.
